Last week marked an important milestone for YachtEye as we introduced our completely redesigned iPad and TV apps to clients, partners and industry peers at Metstrade 2025. The launch brought the first public look at the new interface.

A more dynamic home screen

The new home screen was a major highlight of the launch. It now gives users the option to display a yacht key visual or the live map as the main view, with clear navigation and access to key information via scrolling widgets. The clearer layout and visual impact immediately resonated with visitors seeing it for the first time.

Designed for real onboard use

The update wasn’t about aesthetics alone. This release introduces a fully rebuilt TV loop designed to present yacht information in a polished, continuous display. The updated loop rotates key information in a smooth, uninterrupted sequence, making it ideal for common guest areas and onboard screens viewed throughout the day.

Built from real feedback

Much of this release reflects direct input from yachts currently using YachtEye. From giving users more control to improving the design, every decision was shaped by how the system is actually used at sea. That practical, user-led approach was a key talking point during the launch.

What comes next

The new iPad and TV release is only the first step. We're continuing to develop the platform, with future enhancements already underway. With this release now live, we’re focused on helping yachts roll it out smoothly and gathering early user insights for the next iteration.
