About

YachtEye was created in 2009 following the request of a very popular charter yacht to have a guest information system.

In 2020 YachtEye was bought by the same holding that also owns SuperYacht Times and both companies are majority owned and directed by Merijn de Waard. The company is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and the combined team consists of more than 35 people.

Our purpose at YachtEye is to help yacht owners and crew to own the best yachting experience

YachtEye has evolved into a multiplatform software tool that is easy to use and beautifully designed. YachtEye seamlessly connects your yacht, crew, guests, and family on one platform to create a better experience and share the fun.

YachtEye has been installed on more than 90 yachts, ranging from 35-metre explorer yachts to the largest yachts in the world.

Are you ready to “own the best yachting experience”?

A message from Merijn
From 2013 to 2015 I shared an office with the guys that had started YachtEye and I have always been very fascinated by the product, so when there was the opportunity to buy YachtEye in 2020 we did not hesitate.

We have taken more than a year to completely change the vision for YachtEye and really focus on how we can make a difference in creating better yachting experiences. We have spoken to many yacht crews, hired a former Chief Stewardess, interviewed YachtEye users, talked to yacht owners, and utilised my own experience from spending time onboard yachts.

My personal favourite feature is the Yacht Radar, which automatically identifies and shows details of all yachts around you. From the age of 8 I have been chasing big yachts, something I still do today whenever I get the opportunity. Many yacht owners are yachting geeks as well, so I have spent a lot of time creating this feature. We have also connected it to our SYT iQ yacht database to make sure the system automatically updates you with specifications and photos of the yachts around you.

Our YachtEye journey has just started, and I am personally committed to making yachting a better experience, for owners, guests, and crew. If you have any ideas or feedback then I would love to hear from you, so that we can continue to build new features and improve YachtEye.
