What exactly is YachtEye and who is it for?
YachtEye is an onboard digital platform designed to improve the guest experience while simplifying life for the crew. It allows crew members to share daily schedules, menus, itineraries, and other important information directly with guests, all in one place. Instead of printing documents or answering the same questions repeatedly, the crew can keep everything up to date through YachtEye, making communication smoother and saving valuable time.

For guests, YachtEye offers an easy way to explore everything about their journey — from the itinerary and weather updates to nearby yachts, safety details, and more. It’s designed to make time on board more enjoyable, informative, and engaging.

Once set up onboard, YachtEye can be accessed via iPhones, iPads, TV and the web.
Is YachtEye suitable for Private and Charter yachts?
Yes! YachtEye has been designed to improve the guest experience no matter what type of trip you're planning. Both private and charter yachts can make use of the features offered to enhance the day-to-day experience and make life easier for the crew.
Who supplies the iPads?
YachtEye supplies the server and adapters but all other technical equipment will need to be supplied by the yacht.
Can YachtEye be integrated with Crestron?
While there is no native integration between YachtEye and Crestron, it is possible to create deep links between the two systems. For example, you can configure a deep link in the Crestron app that opens specific sections of the YachtEye iPad app using a custom URL scheme. Similarly, we can configure YachtEye to link back to the Crestron app using the same approach.
Is there an annual subscription fee?
YachtEye requires an LMSS (Licence, Monitoring, Service & Support) subscription to continue using the system after the first 12 months, receiving updates and support – as well as regular updates to the Destination databases. This subscription covers (technical) support, training, updates, content licences (such as maps and weather) and regular updates of our curated Destination Database.

What is the warranty coverage for YachtEye?
There is a one-year hardware warranty on YachtEye servers, starting on the date we ship the server. Water ingress or thermal problems, as a result of bad installation are not covered, but with any other issues we replace the hardware.

Are all features included in the price?
Most of our features are included in the price. The only ones that are not currently included are the Makkah Pointer, CCTV and in some instances (if you don’t have AiS installed), the Tender Tracker. If you’d like to find out more about any of these features, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Can I use the Tender Tracker in YachtEye without AIS?
Yes, you can still use the Tender Tracker feature even if your tenders are not equipped with AIS. We offer the option to integrate alternative tracking systems, such as SeaTrack, to enable real-time location tracking within YachtEye.This integration requires some custom work from our development team, so a one-off additional fee (€2,500) applies, regardless of the number of tenders you wish to track.An added benefit of this setup is that it also allows you to track other non-AIS assets, such as jetskis.
How can I purchase YachtEye?

How long does it take for my YachtEye to arrive?
We can ship the YachtEye hardware within 2 weeks, under regular circumstances.
What is the process of setting up YachtEye on my yacht?
1. Order
Complete the order form and include your shipping details for the YachtEye server.We typically ship within 1–2 weeks. You will be asked to specify the type of NMEA output available onboard so we can include the correct adapter with your server.

2. Shipping
We will ship the hardware directly to the address specified on the order form.

3.Technical Installation
Once you receive the server, you can install it onboard (with our remote support). To ensure proper data integration, please provide us with access to the onboard NMEA and AIS feeds, as well as the fixed IP address of the server.

4. Provide Yacht Info
We require a minimum amount of content to set up your YachtEye. You will need to provide your Yacht Logo, General Arrangement (GA), Safety Plan and at least one image for your Yacht Gallery. You can also provide a Safety Video if you have one (optional, but recommended). We will send you a list of content requirements in advance so that you can prepare this all accordingly.

5. Provide Further Content (Optional)
In addition to the Yacht Info., you are also welcome to send us additional content. For example, crew information, Tenders & Toys, Documents, Menus, Gallery photos, etc. This information will also be on the ‘Content Requirements’ document so that everything is clear for you.

6. Set up Yacht Info and Content
Once received, we will set up your YachtEye with the content you have provided.

7. Crew Training
After setup is complete, we’ll contact you to arrange an online training with your crew on how to best use YachtEye and take advantage of all the features it offers. This session takes approximately 1 hour.

8. Handover
You’ll receive access instructions for your YachtEye system and can begin to use and enjoy all its features onboard!
What is the YachtEye server? Do I need it?
YachtEye requires a device on-board to keep all your yachts’ data private on your yachts’ network, to read and parse the yachts’ navigational data and to run the YachtEye TV client application.
What are the specifications and technical details of YachtEye?

How do I install YachtEye?
YachtEye can be installed onboard by your engineer, a system integrator or the crew. There are several requirements that the yacht needs to supply ahead of the commissioning phase: an available NMEA0183 or NMEA2000 data feed (either via LAN, RS422 or USB), a HDMI connection to the video distribution system and an ethernet connection with a fixed/static IP address that has good internet connectivity.

At purchase, you'll receive a detailed technical guide with the installation instructions, and our team can remotely support you if you have any questions. On-location installation support is available for an additional fee.

Once the hardware and content requirements are met, our team will remotely commission your YachtEye system.
Does YachtEye require an internet connection?
Yes.YachtEye requires an internet connection to work. Whilst all your data is stored locally, YachtEye downloads map tiles, weather forecasts, yacht data and so on from the internet.
Do you offer crew training and/or guest training?
The crew and/or guest training is included with your YachtEye purchase. After commissioning and content setup of the YachtEye system, we will get in touch with you to find a suitable date and time.
How secure is YachtEye? Is my privacy ensured?
YachtEye has been designed, from the ground up, with your security and privacy in mind. Any connections to- and from your yacht are encrypted, and restricted to a private virtual cloud. Your data is stored on-board or in a secure private cloud, to which access is strictly controlled using a ‘zero trust’ security model. The YachtEye team operates under strict ‘eyes only’ and ‘need to know’ policies. Get in touch if you’d like to learn more.
Is it safe to give my guests access to the YachtEye mobile application?
Yes, it is completely safe to give your guests access to the YachtEye mobile application. YachtEye ensures that guests only have access to the information specifically designated for them by the crew. Additionally, all guest data remains their private property, even after they leave your yacht. This makes YachtEye an excellent solution for charter guests as well, as you can easily set up guest accounts to automatically expire after a specified date, ensuring seamless and secure access during their stay.
How do I contact customer support for assistance?

Can I upload content myself?
Yes, absolutely! Much of the content you can upload yourself. From schedules and itineraries to crew profiles and menus, it's simple to upload content (eg. PDFs, images etc) into your YachtEye System. Not only that, it's easy to keep everything up to date, as you can instantly replace or update content whenever needed. We will also provide a crew training during the onboarding process so that you understand how to do all this yourself.

Additionally, there are a few pieces of content that we will need to set up for you but these details will be provided to you during the onboarding process.

If you prefer not to do everything yourself, we also provide an 'Initial Content Setup' service free of charge.
Do we have to write the destination content ourselves?
No. YachtEye comes with an extensive destination database, including pictures and descriptions for each destination. You can overwrite our content if desired, and this new content will only be visible on your YachtEye. If you spot a mistake or a missing destination - please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we will add or amend the (missing) destination right away.
